Lee Hi released her new single “Holo” on July 23rd, a song that comforts everyone with its melodic themes and reflective lyrics. The song conveys a message of overcoming a period of solitude and comforting those who are having a hard time. Previously signed to YG Entertainment, the soulful artist embarks her new journey under AOMG, a hip-hop and R&B label founded by Jay Park.

Ever since Lee Hi was on SBS ‘K-pop Star Season 1 in 2011, she has proven that she is the most prominent female soloists in the country. She debuted with single “1, 2, 3, 4” on October 28, 2012, under YG entertainment and reached number one within the first week of sales. She soon released her first full-length album First Love in two parts, part 1 on March 7, 2013, and part 2 on March 28, 2013. With her soulful voice and mesmerizing stage presence, she never fails to captivate the audience.

With her departure from YG entertainment, Lee Hi’s main focus was to find a label that would allow her to be authentic with her work. She even did a series called #HOLO on her Youtube channel, where she went around asking her artist friends which record label she should join. At last, she finally decided to join AOMG, the company known for acts like Jay Park, Hoody, Loco, etc. One of the reasons why she chose to join the record label is that she heard good things about the company from artists Code Knust (whom she collaborated with) and Gray. She felt that AOMG would understand her better in terms of music.

Lee Hi hopes to comfort people with her new song, “Holo.” She wants people to understand that when you feel lonely, it is essential to love yourself, especially during these chaotic times. The music video is both heartwarming and emotional with its cinematic scenery accompanied by soul ballad sound. In the music video, Lee Hi is spending time by herself while trying to save a lonely young girl.
