BTS and Lauv are gracing fans with yet another collaboration! In late January, American singer-songwriter Lauv announced that he would be once again working with the K-pop group by tweeting a photo of them together alongside another image that said “LAUV feat BTS!! ‘Who’.” After months of patiently waiting, we can finally enjoy the sentimental ballad that came out of this collab.

Known for producing mellow and acoustic songs, Lauv brings out the more romantic side of BTS with “Who.” The track features BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook’s soulful voices. From the lyrics, we can infer that the song depicts a man confused about his lover. Jungkook’s voice softly caresses the lyrics; “Feeling hypnotized by the words that you said, don’t lie to me, just get in my head.” Jimin’s distinct vocals follow with “When the morning comes, you’re still in my bed, but it’s so, so cold.”

Lauv’s strong vocals compliment Jungkook and Jimin’s as there is a unique balance between the three. As the song comes to an end, the trio break out high notes that slowly fade away into an instrumental. Emotional and sentimental upon first listen, ARMYs as well as Lauv fans are sure in for a treat!

The collaboration is included in Lauv’s debut studio album, ~how i’m feeling~ . This is not the first time the two artists have collaborated. In October 2019, they came together for an acoustic remix of BTS’ B-side “Make it Right,” which was a part of BTS’ EP, Map of the Soul: Persona

Lauv is a well-known producer of numerous hit songs such as “Lonely,” “I Like Me Better,” and “I’m So Tired.” His new album, ~how i’m feeling~, also featured artists such as Troye Sivan, Alessia Cara, Anne-Marie, Sofia Reyes, and LANY.

The song is now available for download and streaming together with the release of Lauv’s album.
